Elderflower and Nettle Oxymel

Elderflower and Nettle Oxymel

Breakfast:

  • On pancakes – drizzle on top to replace lemon and sugar for that sweet, tart flavour.

Drinks:

  • Hot drink – Add to a cup of hot water for a soothing cup of tea.
  • Cold drinks – A great addition to soda water, kefir water, kombucha, or coconut water
  • Alcoholic drinks – Add a little kick by adding elderflower and nettle oxymel to gin. Try it with soda water and a mint leaf or with ginger beer.
  • Ice cubes – freeze excess into ice cubes for later use in soda water with mint leaves.

Condiments:

  • Marinade/sauce – Add a kick to chicken, fish, pork or caramelised vegetables.
  • Vinaigrettes – Add to olive oil a tangy sweet zing. We like salad with rocket, pear, walnut and parmesan.

Dessert:

  • Fruit – A beautiful balance of flavours when drizzled over strawberries.
